SPKS Distributes Aid to Flood-Hit Smallholders in North Aceh
The Palm Oil Farmers Union (SPKS) has deployed humanitarian assistance to palm oil smallholders and residents affected by severe flooding in North Aceh, following days of heavy rainfall that inundated homes and farmland.
The aid was mobilized through collective donations from SPKS members across Indonesia. SPKS Chairman Sabarudin described the initiative as a symbol of solidarity among farmers.
“Flooding in North Aceh has damaged homes and plantations and disrupted farmers’ livelihoods. Through this assistance, we hope to ease the burden on our fellow smallholders,” he said in a statement received by

SPKS provided basic supplies including food packages, clean water, rice, instant noodles, and other essential items. Local SPKS teams worked with village authorities to ensure orderly and targeted distribution.
Representatives of SPKS North Aceh expressed gratitude for the nationwide support, saying the response reflects strong mutual cooperation among palm oil farmers.
SPKS also called on the government, private companies, and the public to step up support for affected communities throughout the recovery phase.
