Global Dependence on Palm Oil Will Increase

According to the industry publication Oil World, the dependence of global vegetable oil buyers on palm oil will increase in 2018/19 (October to September). Global soybean oil production in 2018/19 is expected to increase by only 700,000 tons from the previous year, mainly due to the decline in China's soybean crush and soybean oil production.
